LOS ANGELES – A Glendale business is being accused of unlawfully using an Illinois company's trademarked drums.
R.R. Street & Co. Inc. filed a complaint on Jan. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Mr. Hangers Ex. Inc., Marine Mekikian, Armen Mekikian and Does 1 through 10 alleging trademark infringement and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it manufactures solvents used in the dry cleaning process. The plaintiff holds Mr. Hangers Ex. The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, enjoin the defendants from further infringing plaintiff's trademark, treble and statutory damages of $2 million, order the destruction of all infringing materials, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Rod S. Berman, Jessica Bromall Sparkman and Nathaniel Dang of Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP in Los Angeles.
