LOS ANGELES – A Santa Monica photography agency claims a jewelry wholesaler used photos without authorization.

Michael Grecco Productions Inc. filed a complaint on Jan. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Sara Weinstock Inc. and Does 1 through 10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendants hired it to photograph the Sara Weinstock Lookbook in March 2016, but never paid for the images in full. The plaintiff holds Sara Weinstock Inc. and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly used plaintiff's photographs on banners and their website without authorization.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks injunction against the defendants, profits and damages, impound all infringing copies of plaintiff's photographs, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Peter E. Perkowski of Perkowski Legal, PC in Los Angeles.
