LOS ANGELES – A California man alleges his copyrighted photos were used in videos without his permission.
Jeffrey Werner filed a complaint on Jan. 31 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against the Tribune Media Co., AOL Inc. and Does 1-10 citing copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he owns the photos titled Amazon Eve: The World's Tallest Professional Model. The plaintiff holds Tribune Media Co., AOL Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly published a video on their website containing plaintiff's photographs without his authorization.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, all profits, statutory damages, enhanced damages, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as this court deems just.
