Star Fabrics alleges fabric design was used without permission

LOS ANGELES – J One Trading Inc., Mya Fashion LLC are alleged to have used a textile design without authorization.

Star Fabrics Inc. filed a complaint on Feb. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against J One Trading Inc., Mya Fashion LLC and Does 1 through 10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business. The plaintiff holds J One Trading Inc., Mya Fashion LLC and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly unlawfully distributed garments featuring fabrics that bear plaintiff's 68509 design.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, all profits, statutory damages, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Stephen M. Doniger, Scott A. Burroughs, and Howard S. Han of Doniger/Burroughs in Venice.
