Trademark 03

LOS ANGELES – A Florida man is accused of selling counterfeit BMW parts online.

BMW of North America LLC and Bayerische Motoren Werke AG filed a complaint on Feb. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Michael Chambers and Does 1-10 alleging trademark infringement and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages to their business and reputations. The plaintiffs hold Chambers and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly used eBay.com to distribute counterfeit BMW products.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek damages, profits, actual damages, injunctive relief against the defendants, pay restitution, order the destruction of all infringing products, exemplary and or punitive damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Christopher D. Johnson, Christopher Q. Pham, Nicole Drey Huerter, and Hung Q. Pham of Johnson & Pham LLP in Woodland Hills.
