LOS ANGELES – A consumer claims a Los Angeles financial institution called him without his consent.
Gilbert Talamantez filed a complaint on Feb. 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Credit One Bank N.A. and Does 1-10 alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2015, he suffered damages from being contacted about an alleged debt he owed despite already filing for bankruptcy. The plaintiff holds Credit One Bank NA and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly kept on calling the plaintiff regarding the alleged debt despite his request to stop calling.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Stuart Price of Price Law Group, APC in Encino.
