Insurance 07

SAN FRANCISCO – A woman alleges she is disabled because of chronic fatigue syndrome and that her disability benefits were wrongfully terminated.

Stephanie Forbes filed a complaint on Feb. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Sun Life and Health Insurance Co. alleging violation of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2013, she became disabled and was initially approved to receive disability benefits for 24 months until her claim was terminated. The plaintiff alleges that the termination of her benefits violates the terms of the benefit plan.
