Dell'Oro Group Inc. alleges former employee breached agreement

Contract 08

SAN FRANCISCO – A Redwood City corporation alleges a former employee from Rocklin who served as vice president and senior analyst deleted confidential information before resigning.

Dell'Oro Group Inc. filed a complaint on Feb. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Alan Weckel alleging breach of contract and violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.

According to the complaint, Weckel was employed by the plaintiff from April 2006 to January 2017 and was under the obligation of a nondisclosure agreement. The plaintiff holds Weckel responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to return the plaintiff's confidential information after resigning and deleted the information without authorization.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks injunctive relief, compensatory damages, restitution, disgorgement, punitive damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by I. Neel Chatterjee and Victor W. Wang of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP in Menlo Park.
