LOS ANGELES – A Torrance resident formerly employed by Boeing Co. alleges his disability benefits were wrongfully terminated.
Brian Wright filed a complaint on March 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against the Aon Hewitt Absence Management LLC, The Boeing Co., Aetna Life Insurance Co. and Does 1 to 10 citing the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2015, he became disabled and was initially being paid disability benefits until his claim was terminated in 2016. The plaintiff holds Aon Hewitt Absence Management LLC, The Boeing Co., Aetna Life Insurance Co. and Does 1 to 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly terminated further payment of plaintiff's benefits despite having sufficient medical records to support his claim.
The plaintiff seeks all plan benefits due and owing, interest at the rate of 10 percent per annum, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Robert J. McKennon and Scott E. Calvert of McKennon Law Group PC in Newport Beach.
