LOS ANGELES — A couple is suing the Law Offices of Sam Chandra and APC BSI Financial Services Extra Default Solutions LLC, citing alleged invasion of privacy and violation of federal law.

Marc J. Griffith and Michelle P. Griffith filed a complaint on March 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against the defendants alleging that they used their personal information such as their social security numbers.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that, in November 2014, they suffered damages from having their identities stolen. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible because they allegedly used the plaintiff's personal information without consent for their own benefit.

The plaintiffs seek actual damages not less than $1,000 and all legal fees.
