L.A. Gem & Jewelry Design claims NJS.com copied its moon pendant

LOS ANGELES – An online New York jewelry vendor is accused of selling unauthorized versions of a necklace pendant.

L.A. Gem & Jewelry Design Inc. filed a complaint on April 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against NJS.com LLC, doing business as Namejewelryspot, and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business from having its copyrighted Moon Pendant jewelry designs copied. The plaintiff holds NJS.com LLC and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly copied plaintiff's Moon Pendant design and sells unauthorized, infringing copies.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants from further infringing plaintiff's designs, damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Milord A. Keshishian and J. Nicholas Anwandter of Milord & Associates PC in Los Angeles.
