SAN FRANCISCO – A Contra Costa County couple allege they purchased a defective General Motors vehicle.
Courtney Montecino and Joseph Montecino filed a complaint on April 18 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against General Motors LLC and Does 1 through 10 citing the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they purchased a 2011 GMC Acadia in April 2011 that came with an express written warranty. The plaintiffs holds General Motors LLC and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the vehicle allegedly developed defects to its steering system, engine and more, and the defendants allegedly have been unable to make repairs to bring the vehicle into conformity with the warranty.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek actual damages, restitution, consequential and incidental damages, all legal fees, punitive damages, interest and any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by Christine Haw and Chelsea Scharf of Strategic Legal Practices in Los Angeles.
