Golden West Envelope Corp. alleged to owe more than $4,000 in contributions

SAN FRANCISCO – An Alameda County employer is accused of failing to pay contributions to a trust fund.

Trustees on behalf of Supplemental Income 401(k) plan filed a complaint on June 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Golden West Envelope Corp. citing the National Labor Relations Act and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that they suffered damages due to unpaid contribution. The plaintiff holds Golden West Envelope Corporation responsible because the defendant allegedly breached their bargaining agreement by failing to make its contribution on behalf of its employees from January 2016 to May 2017.

The plaintiff seeks $4,488 in unpaid contributions, $538.56 in unpaid liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Catherine E. Arostegui of Beeson, Tayer & Bodine, APC in Sacramento.
