Ironworks Patents alleges LG Electronics devices infringe patents

SAN DIEGO – A Chicago company alleges that five of its patents have been infringed by LG.

Ironworks Patents LLC filed a complaint on June 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California against LG Electronics Inc., LG Electronics MobileComm USA Inc. and LG Electronics Mobile Research USA LLC alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it owns five U.S. patents originally assigned to Sony Corps. and Nokia Mobile Phones LTD. It alleges that the defendants sell smartphones, tablets and other mobile wireless devices that infringe the patents.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks declare that the defendant has infringed patents, award of attorney's fees, costs, other damages and such other further relief as the court deems appropriate.
