FRESNO — Fireman's Insurance is suing a plumbing supply distributor, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent property damage, liability, negligence and product liability.

Fireman's Fund Insurance Company, as subrogee of Craig Fry, filed a complaint Feb. 14 in Fresno County Superior Court against Michael Chiang, doing business as ROC Industries Inc., Su-Mei Shih and Does 1 through 25, alleging they manufactured a defective supply line and caused flooding damages to the property at 4027 North Van Ness, Blvd., Fresno.

According to the complaint, Fry suffered property damages at his Fresno home because the defendants failed to inform or warn the plaintiff regarding the defective nature of the supply line that caused a leak in the toilet, leading to flood damages to Fry's home.

Frieman's Fund and Fry seek trial by jury, compensatory damages of $40,413.07, interest, legal fees and all other relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorney Sally Noma of Jang & Associates LLP in Walnut Creek, California.
