Farm business alleges snack company owes $1.4 million

FRESNO — A California farm corporation is suing a snack business, alleging breach of contract in failure to pay $1.4 million.

Olam Farming Inc. filed a complaint Feb. 17 in Fresno County Superior Court against SunTree Snack Foods, LLC, SunTree LLC and Does 1-10, alleging failure to to pay the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, Olam Farming suffered monetary damages from not being paid for shipments of almonds. The plaintiff alleges the defendants repudiated their contracts dating to August 2015. 

Olam Farming seeks general, economic, consequential and incidental damages that exceed $1.4 million, special damages, interest and all other relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorneys Dirk B. Paloutzian and Peter G. Fashing of Baker Manock & Jensen, PC in Fresno.
