Santa Monica software company alleges copyright infringement

LOS ANGELES — A Santa Monica software company is suing competitors, alleging copyright infringement.

VBConversions LLC filed a complaint Aug. 14 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Does 1-10, alleging they used the plaintiff's software without authority.

According to the complaint, VBConversions suffered damages from having its software used without their permission. The plaintiff alleges Does 1-10 gained unauthorized and unlimited access to VBConversions' software without paying certain expenses.

VBConversions seeks trial by jury, enjoin the defendant, damages, interest, compensation of at least $150,000 as statutory damages, actual damages, profits, all legal fees and all other relief the court deems just. It is represented by attorney Donald M. Gindy of Law Offices of Donald M. Gindy in Los Angeles.
