LOS ANGELES — A Los Angeles County man has filed a class action lawsuit against a media business, alleging unpaid wages, violation of applicable minimum wage law, and violation of workers compensation acts.
David Brashear filed a complaint, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, Aug. 14 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Magnet Media Inc., and Does 1 through 10, alleging they failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiff as required by the Fair Labor Standards Act.
According to the complaint, Brashear worked more than 40 hours per week without being paid overtime wages as required by FLSA. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to pay minimum wages to the plaintiff.
Brashear seeks trial by jury, damages of up to $560,000, interest, legal fees and all other relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorney Alan Harris of Harris & Ruble in Glendale.
