LOS ANGELES — A Los Angeles woman is suing the United States, alleging violation of civil rights and violation of federal law.

Stacy Griffin filed a complaint Aug. 29 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against the United States government, alleging the government failed to return the watch left by the plaintiff in its possession at a security checkpoint at Los Angeles International Airport.
