SAN FRANCISCO — An exotic dancer is suing her San Francisco employers, alleging retaliation, unpaid wages, violation of workers compensation acts and wrongful termination.
Poohrawn Mehraban of Oakland filed a complaint Sept. 12 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Gold Club - SF LLC, doing business as Gold Club San Francisco, BT California, LLC doing business as The Penthouse Club, and SFBSC Management LLC, alleging they failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiff, violating the Fair Labor Standards Act.
According to the complaint, Mehraban, who worked for Gold Club from March 2015 to January 2017, suffered damages from being terminated from her employment. The plaintiff alleges the defendants retaliated against her by terminating her employment for participating in a wage and hour lawsuit against them.
Mehraban seeks trial by jury, seeks reinstatement, restitution of all lost back pay, front pay, damages, interest, liquidated damages, legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorneys Shannon Liss-Riordan of Lichten & Liss-Riordan PC in Boston, and by Matthew D. Carlson of Lichten & Liss-Riordan in San Francisco.
