Sales employee alleges Virginia company failed to pay proper wages

SAN DIEGO — A San Diego County man is suing a Virginia company, alleging unfair competition and unpaid wages.

Brian Grant filed a complaint Sept. 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California against Salient CRGT Inc. of Fairfax County, Virginia, alleging the defendant failed to provide employees proper wages and benefits.

According to the complaint, Grant suffered financial damages from Salient's wrongful conduct of paying him with only a small fraction of the commission he was owed, despite his having performed all of the work required of him to earn the commission. 

The plaintiff alleges Salient failed to pay all commissions due him for the sales he procured, and the defendat profited and will profit unjustly from its unfair business practices.

Grant seeks trial by jury, unpaid wages of more than $100,000, disgorgement of Sailent CRGT's ill-gotten gains, statutory interest, penalties, costs of action, attorney fees, injunctive relief and all further relief the court deems proper. He is represented by attorney Edson K. McClellan of Rutan & Tucker LLP in Costa Mesa.
