FRESNO — A Fresno County man is suing property sellers, alleging breach of contract, fraud and unjust enrichment.

James Workman filed a complaint Oct. 23 in Fresno County Superior Court against David Bray, Pastor Robert Bray; Rose Reynold, also known as Rose Bray and Does 1-100, alleging the defendants breached the contract when title to a property could not be transferred to the buyer despite Workman making monthly payments.

According to the complaint, since 2008, Workman had been making payments through a lease with an option to buy a property at 50461 Chuckwagon Road, Squaw Valley,  from the defendants when he discovered that the defendants did not own the property.

Workman says he had been making monthly payments to the defendants for the amount of $67,583 and paid all tax money each year, providing improvements upon the land, and also paid annual fire prevention fees.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to deliver the Squaw Valley property title to buyer when he was in the process of purchasing the property, deprived him of the benefits of the contract agreement, deprived him of the property that he was purchasing and deprived him of profit from selling the property.

Workman seeks trial by jury, general, special and punitive damages, costs of suit, and all other relief the court deems proper. He is represented by attorney Kristine L. Pfister-Bogart ofSquaw Valley.
