SACRAMENTO – A Chino Hills employer is alleged to owe unpaid contributions to several labor union trusts.
Board of trustees of the Kern County Electrical Workers' Pension Fund, et al. filed a complaint on March 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Flatiron Electric Group Inc. and Does 1 through 10 over alleged violation of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 and the Labor Management Relations Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that an audit of the defendant's payroll in May 2017 determined the defendant failed to pay $1,019.14 in contributions and $2,575 in auditor's fees and interest.
The plaintiffs hold Flatiron Electric Group Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to make prompt payment of fringe benefit contributions to the plaintiff trusts.
The plaintiffs seek payment for the principal amount to be shown through proof at time of trial, plus interest rate of 10 percent per annum, costs of lawsuit, attorney's fees and for such other and further relief as the court may deem appropriate. They are represented by Tiffany Lena in San Marcos.
