Woman alleges Uber X driver drove away before she was completely in vehicle

Car accident 16

SAN FRANCISCO – An Uber X passenger alleges she was injured when the driver took off before she was in the vehicle.

Julianna Wahlmeier filed a complaint on April 9 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Rasier-CA LLC and Does 1-20 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 6, 2017, as she was about to enter an Uber X vehicle, owned, operated, maintained and insured by the defendants, the driver suddenly took off leaving plaintiff holding onto the vehicle so as not to fall off. She alleges she held on for about 25 feet before the driver stopped. As a result of the alleged negligence of the driver, the plaintiff alleges she suffered physical injuries, mental pain, suffering and emotional distress.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants for general and special damages, costs, interest, and other relief as the court may deem just. She is represented by Christopher B. Dolan, Jeremy M. Jessup and Jason Kort of Dolan Law Firm PC in San Francisco.
