Nurse alleges Quik Travel Staffing failed to pay overtime wages

Law money 13

LOS ANGELES – A Tulare County woman alleges that a health care staffing agency failed to pay overtime or provide rest breaks.

Consuelo Campos filed a complaint individually and on behalf of all persons similarly situated on April 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Quik Travel Staffing Inc., Stefan Windheuser, Belinda Pagliaro and Does 1-100 alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff worked for the defendants as a nurse from November 2012 to November 2017.

The plaintiff holds Quik Travel Staffing Inc., Windheuser, Pagliaro and Does 1-100 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to include the value of employee per diem benefits when calculating overtime, failed to provide proper meal and rest breaks, failed to furnish accurate itemized wage statements, and failed to provide overtime wages and wages after termination.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendant for general and compensatory damages, restoration and restitution of lost wages, statutory penalties, and all other remedies, interest, attorneys' fees, costs of suit, disgorgement, and further relief as the court deems proper. She is represented by Ashkan Shakouri of Shakouri Law Firm in Los Angeles.
