LOS ANGELES – A Lawndale business is alleged to not have accessible parking spaces for customers with disabilities.

Carmen John Perri filed a complaint on April 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Hank's Bistro & Royal Palace, Lawndale LLC and Does 1-10 over alleged violations of the Americans With Disabilities Act and Unruh Civil Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 17, 2018, he went to purchase a beverage at the defendants' facility. He alleges that the property did not have designated parking spaces for customers with disabilities that complied with the ADA.

As a result, Perri claims he was denied full and equal access which caused him difficulty, humiliation and frustration.

The plaintiff holds Hank's Bistro & Royal Palace, Lawndale LLC and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide accessible parking spaces.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for actual damages and statutory damages of no less than $4,000 per violation, attorneys' fees, litigation expenses, and costs of suit. He is represented by Joseph R. Manning Jr., Michael J. Manning and Craig G. Côté of Manning Law APC in Newport Beach.
