FRESNO – A woman is seeking damages from the owners of three dogs and the pet owner's landlords after she was allegedly bitten at the property.

Jonette Terry-Gaitan filed a complaint on May 29 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Karen Sharpe, Nick Tillery, Lolretta Tillery and Does 1 through 25 alleging negligence and strict liability.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 13, 2017, while at a Kingsburg residence, she was allegedly attacked and bitten by dogs being kept and maintained at the premises. The suit states the Tillerys owned the property and that it was leased to Sharpe, who also owned the dogs.

The plaintiff claims she suffered severe injuries, including lacerations and puncture wounds, which left her impaired. The plaintiff alleges the dogs are believed to be a pitbull mix.

The plaintiff holds Sharpe, Nick Tillery, Lolretta Tillery and Does 1 through 25 responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently kept and harbored the dog and permitted them to roam without restraint.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for general damages, all losses incurred, costs of suit, prejudgment interest, and for such other and further relief as the court deems just and proper. She is represented by Val Dornay in Clovis.
