Fiddletown resident accuses California Service Bureau of violation of FDCPA

Phone 03

SACRAMENTO – A consumer is suing a debt collector alleging that the company continued to contact him after he asked it to stop.

Perri Pierce filed a complaint on April 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against EOS CCA, doing business as California Service Bureau, alleging that the debt collector made harassing phone calls to him in an attempt to collect a debt he owed.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between February 2015 and February 2016, he received harassing collection calls from the defendant even after he asked not to be called again. The plaintiff holds California Service Bureau responsible because the defendant allegedly repeatedly and continuously contacted plaintiff in an attempt to collect his owed debt even after plaintiff requested not to be called.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all actual damages, statutory damages of $1,000 for the violation of FDCPA, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Amy L. Bennecoff Ginsburg of Kimmel & Silverman PC in Ambler, Pennsylvania.
