SAN JOSE – A Salinas produce company alleges it is owed for invoices.
Golden West Veg Inc. filed a complaint on July 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against James M. Bartley, individually and doing business as Greenfield Produce Sales, alleging breach of contract and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between Jan. 4 and April 14 it suffered damages to its business as a result of unpaid products provided to the defendants. The plaintiff holds James M. Bartley, individually and doing business as Greenfield Produce Sales, responsible because the defendants allegedly failed and refused to pay the total amount for fresh produce they received from plaintiff.
The plaintiff seeks damages of $97,430.40 plus interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Patricia J. Rynn and R. Jason Read of Rynn & Janowsky LLP in Newport Beach.
