SAN FRANCISCO – A Vallejo man alleges a Minnesota financial institution has called him 145 times in an attempt to collect a purported debt.

Rodel Abad filed a complaint on July 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against U.S. Bank N.A. alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that beginning March 2015, he was called several times by the defendant despite his requests to stop calling him. The plaintiff holds U.S. Bank N.A. responsible because the defendant allegedly called plaintiff multiple times using an automatic telephone dialing system.

The plaintiff seeks $1,000 as statutory damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Ryan Lee of Law Offices of Ryan Lee PLLC in Scottsdale, Arizona.
