Driver alleges injuries after auto accident with USPS employee

Car accident 42

SACRAMENTO – A motorist has filed a suit against the driver of a postal truck after a collision in Sacramento.

Abram K. Fields filed a complaint on July 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against United States of America, acting by and through the United States Postal Service, and Does 1 through 10 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 22, 2013, he sustained injuries and damages to his property as a result of the accident. The plaintiff holds United States of America, acting by and through the United States Postal Service, and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants' employee allegedly failed to keep a proper look out while attempting to make a left turn onto Alhambra Boulevard, causing the defendants' vehicle to hit plaintiff's car.

The plaintiff seeks general damages, all medical expenses, $525 for loss of use of property, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Peter F. Samuel and Jon H. Klingensmith of Samuel and Samuel in Fair Oaks.
