LOS ANGELES – A Santa Fe Springs business claims an Illinois company is manufacturing gates that use its patented ideas.
Maxon Industries Inc., doing business as Maxon Lift Corp., filed a complaint on July 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Western Division against Anthony Liftgates Inc. alleging patent infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business as the result of its patented technology being used without its authority by the defendants. The plaintiff holds Anthony Liftgates Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly manufactured and sold lift gate systems that infringes plaintiff's patents.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to permanently enjoin the defendant, award plaintiff compensatory damages, treble damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just.
