LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County man is accused of not paying back a student loan.
United States of America, acting on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education, filed a complaint on Aug. 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Larry Paul Brown, also known as Larry P. Brown, alleging that the individual failed to pay plaintiff for a debt he owed.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that United States of America suffered damages from the unpaid debt. The plaintiff holds Larry Paul Brown responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to honor his promissory note to plaintiff by paying his debt on the agreed date.
The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $2,501.88 plus interest in the sum of $585.21 and ongoing interest in the rate of 3 percent per annum, administrative charge of $50, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just.
