LOS ANGELES – Three companies are facing allegations from a California company that they manufactured clothing using copyrighted fabrics.
Universal Dyeing & Printing Inc. filed a complaint on Aug. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against J One Trading Inc., Just One LLC, Rainbow USA Inc. and Does 1 through 10 alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages as the result of the infringement of its copyrighted designs known as UA 13710 and UA 16250. The plaintiff holds J One Trading Inc., Just One LLC, Rainbow USA Inc. and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly distributed garments to retailers that used the copyrighted designs in question.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to enjoin the defendants from further infringing plaintiff's copyrighted designs, award all profits to plaintiff, statutory damages, all legal fees and interest and any other relief as the court deems just.
