EveryMD.com alleges Facebook infringed patent

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles company that owns a website providing home pages for doctors and messaging services for patients alleges a social media company infringed its patent.

EveryMD.com LLC filed a complaint on Aug. 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Facebook Inc. alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages from having its '192 patent, title Method and Apparatus for Generating Web Pages for Members, infringed. The plaintiff holds Facebook Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly infringes claim one of the '192 patent by practicing claimed invention without plaintiff's authority.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, increase damages three times, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Frank M. Weyer of TechCoastLaw in Los Angeles.
