LOS ANGELES — The U.S. government has filed suit against a man for unpaid debt.
The government filed a complaint Aug. 31 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Albert C. Furlow, alleging that he failed to settle his debt to the plaintiff.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages from the unpaid debt. The plaintiff holds Albert C. Furlow responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the principal amount of his debt to the plaintiff, plus interest.
The plaintiff seeks the principal amount of $2,576.16 plus interest of $1,643.95 with further interest at 7 percent per annum accruing at $0.49 per day, and any other relief as the court deems just.
