Envisiontec Inc. accuses competitor of using patented technology

LOS ANGELES – A 3-D printer manufacturer alleges a competitor's protects uses its patented technology.

Envisiontec Inc. filed a complaint on Sept. 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Formlabs Inc. citing patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business from having its patents infringed. The plaintiff holds Formlabs Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly infringes one or more claims of plaintiff's '263 and '472 patents with its Form 2 and Form 1+ products.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendant from further infringing plaintiff's patents, damages plus interest, increase damages to three times the amount, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by William E. Thomson Jr. of Brooks Kushman PC in Los Angeles.
