LOS ANGELES — A transportation company with headquarters in Japan and New York is filing suit against other companies for alleged trademark infringement.
Yamato Holdings Co. Ltd. and Yamato Transport USA Inc. filed a complaint Sept. 13 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Anxin Wood Products Corp., Gang Song and Does 1 to 5, alleging that they have been using a confusingly similar trademark as the plaintiff's.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that Yamato Holdings Co. Ltd. and Yamato Transport USA Inc. suffered damages to their business. The plaintiffs holds Anxin Wood Products Corp., Gang Song and Does 1 to 5 responsible because the defendants allegedly used the plaintiffs' dual cat marks, which causes confusion among consumers.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek to permanently enjoin the defendant from further infringing upon the plaintiff's trademark, damages, punitive damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Enoch H. Liang, Lauren Sliger and Danica Lam of LTL Attorneys LLP in Los Angeles.
