SACRAMENTO – An El Dorado County woman alleges she was wrongfully denied disability benefits.
Kristin Lacey filed a complaint on Sept. 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against The Prudential Insurance Co. of America alleging violation of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she became disabled and made a claim for disability benefits in 2014 but was denied by the defendant. The plaintiff holds The Prudential Insurance Co. of America responsible because the defendant allegedly upheld its decision to deny plaintiff's claim despite being disabled according to the terms of the plan.
The plaintiff seeks payment of disability benefits due to plaintiff, reinstatement, all legal fee plus interest and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Glenn R. Kantor, Alan E. Kassan and Mitchell O. Hefter of Kantor & Kantor LLP in Northridge.
