LOS ANGELES – A California-based textile converter alleges a Washington retailer sold garment with its copyrighted designs without permission.

Unicolors Inc. filed a complaint on Sept. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Zulily LLC and Does 1-10 citing copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Unicolors Inc. suffered damages to its business. The plaintiff holds Zulily LLC and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sold garments using fabrics that bear plaintiff's designs through their online and retail stores.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to enjoin the defendant from further infringing plaintiff's copyrights, award all profits to plaintiff, statutory damages, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by C. Yong Jeong of Jeong & Likens LC in Los Angeles.
