LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County woman seeks a declaration from the court that she is disabled and is entitled to disability benefits.

Lynn May filed a complaint on Sept. 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Southern California Edison's Long Term Disability Plan, Does 1 through 10 citing the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in August 2014, she became disabled but was denied any disability benefits. She seeks declaration from the court that she is disabled according to the terms of the plan and is therefore entitled to benefits.

The plaintiff seeks all benefits due to plaintiff plus interest, reinstatement, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Charles J. Fleishman and Paul A. Fleishman of The Fleishman Law Firm in Woodland Hills.
