Rapid Capital Funding accused of placing telemarketing calls

LOS ANGELES – An Oxnard consumer alleges a business called her to solicit its services when her number is listed on the Nation Do-Not-Call registry.

Vanessa Garcia filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Oct. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Rapid Capital Funding PC and Does 1 through 10 alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that beginning in July, the defendant contacted her to solicit its services. The plaintiff holds Rapid Capital Funding PC and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly used an automatic telephone dialing system to contact plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages of $500, treble damages of $1,500, all legal fees and any other relief this court deems just. She is represented by Todd M. Friedman, Adrian R. Bacon and Meghan E. George of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman PC in Woodland Hills.
