Couture Textile sues garment vendors over alleged copyright infringement

CALIFORNIA — A California corporation is suing Earthbound Trading Co., JHKO, Inc. d/b/a Fashion Q, and DOES 1-10, garment vendors, citing alleged copyright infringement.

Couture Textile, Inc. filed a complaint on Oct. 21, in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against the defendants alleging that they used plaintiff's designs on their garments without plaintiff's permission

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Couture Textile, Inc. suffered damages as the result of their design being used. The plaintiff holds Earthbound Trading Co., JHKO, Inc. d/b/a Fashion Q, and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sell garments featuring fabrics that bear plaintiff's designs.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to enjoin the defendant, award all profits to the plaintiff, statutory damages, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by C. Yong Jeong and Amy Choe of Jeong & Likens, L.C. in Los Angeles.
