Hollywood Contempo alleged to sell counterfeit Coach products

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles business is accused of selling counterfeit products.

Coach Inc. and Coach Services Inc. filed a complaint on Nov. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Hollywood Contempo and Does 1-10 alleging trademark infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages to their businesses as the result of the infringement. The plaintiffs hold Hollywood Contempo and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sells counterfeit products that bear plaintiffs' mark.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek enjoin the defendant from further infringing plaintiffs' trademark, order retailers to deliver up for destruction all infringing products, statutory damages of $2 million per counterfeit mark, actual damages, punitive damages, treble damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Brent H. Blakely and Jessica C. Covington of Blakely Law Group in Manhattan Beach.
