LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles business is accused of selling counterfeit products.
Coach Inc. and Coach Services Inc. filed a complaint on Nov. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Hollywood Contempo and Does 1-10 alleging trademark infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages to their businesses as the result of the infringement. The plaintiffs hold Hollywood Contempo and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sells counterfeit products that bear plaintiffs' mark.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek enjoin the defendant from further infringing plaintiffs' trademark, order retailers to deliver up for destruction all infringing products, statutory damages of $2 million per counterfeit mark, actual damages, punitive damages, treble damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just.
