Y.M.I. Jeanswear Inc. claims Nexst California is using marks on clothing labels

LOS ANGELES – Two Los Angeles companies allege an El Monte company is using similar labels on their clothing.

Y.M.I. Jeanswear Inc. and IMY LLC filed a complaint on Nov. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Nexst California Inc. alleging trademark infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages to their business. The plaintiffs holds Nexst California Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly marketed their clothing products using an adhesive label and hang tag similar plaintiff's labels and tags.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek injunction against the defendant, deliver up for destruction all infringing materials, treble damages, actual damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by Patrick W. Kelly of Snell & Wilmer LLP in Los Angeles.
