LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County woman is seeking reinstatement of her disability benefits.

Rebekka Noll filed a complaint on Dec. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against First Unum Life Insurance Co. and Cadwalader WIckersham & Taft LLP Welfare Benefits Plan citing the Employee Retirement Income Security Act and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she became disabled and was initially approved to receive disability benefits, but the benefits were later terminated in 2015. The plaintiff holds First Unum Life Insurance Co. and Cadwalader WIckersham & Taft LLP Welfare Benefits Plan responsible because the defendants allegedly upheld their decision to deny further payments of plaintiff's disability benefits despite having sufficient evidence to support her claim of disability.

The plaintiff seeks payment of disability benefits due to the plaintiff, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Glenn R. Kantor, Alan E. Kassan and Brent Dorian of Kantor & Kantor LLP in Northridge.
