LOS ANGELES – A Reseda man has filed a class-action suit against a vacation package marketer over allegations it contacted him with unwanted marketing calls.
Dave Alan filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Dec. 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Fasttrack Promotions Inc. and Does 1 through 10 alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that beginning in January, he suffered damages from receiving several unwanted calls on his cellular telephone from the defendant. The plaintiff holds Fasttrack Promotions Inc. and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly used an automatic telephone dialing system to call the plaintiff without his consent.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks $500 in statutory damages, treble damages of up to $1,500, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Todd M. Friedman, Adrian R. Bacon and Meghan E. George of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman PC in Woodland Hills.
