LOS ANGELES – Two Hayward residents are accused of using patented technology to manufacture a wallet for a cellphone.

Spigen Korea Co. LTD filed a complaint on Dec. 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Lijun Liu, Mingfeng Li and Does 1 through 10 alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business. The plaintiff holds Liu, Li and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly manufacture and distribute the Trianium Walletium Series wallet that the plaintiff claims infringes at least one claim of its '293 patent.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, interest and reasonable royalty, treble damages, interest, permanent injunction, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Heedong Chae and Karen Kim of East West Law Group in Los Angeles.
