RIVERSIDE – A cable TV installation and repair technician for a Riverside business has filed a class action over allegations of violations of labor wage laws.

Perkcles Pyatt filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Dec. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Eastern Division against TechSol LLC, formerly known as Technology Solutions Inc., alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked the defendant from July 2014 to August 2016. He alleges he was improperly classified as an independent contractor. The plaintiff holds TechSol LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay overtime premium to the plaintiff for hours worked that exceeds 40 hours per week, did not provide meal and rest breaks, failed to pay minimum wage, made unlawful deductions from his paycheck and other counts.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, unpaid minimum wages, overtime wages, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Harold Lichten and Olena Savytska of Lichten & Liss-Riordan PC in Boston and by representatives of Lichten & Liss-Riordan PC in San Francisco and Berger & Montague in Philadelphia.
