LOS ANGELES – A Ventura County consumer has filed a class-action lawsuit against Northstar Location Services LLC alleging it called him using an automatic telephone dialing system.
Nathaniel Montecalvo filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Jan. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Northstar Location Services LLC and Does 1-10 alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in July 2015, he suffered damages from receiving several collection calls using an automatic telephone dialing system from the defendants. The plaintiff holds Northstar Location Services LLC and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly kept on calling the plaintiff despite his request to stop calling him.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks $500 in statutory damages, $1,500 in treble damages, and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Todd M. Friedman, Adrian R. Bacon and Meghan E. George of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman PC in Woodland Hills.
